ACCA hosts high level conference for employers in Hong Kong
An Employer Conference themed ‘Be part of it – unleashing the potential of your organisation’ took place in the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong on 16 November 2005. Accounting, training & development, and human resources professionals participated in this high profile event. Speeches on talent management and a panel discussion on performance management were delivered by speakers from leading multinational and Asian companies and organisations including, Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management, PCCW, Watson Wyatt, DHL Express (HK) Ltd, McDonald’s Restaurant (HK) and Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd.
The event provided a platform for the launch of ACCA’s new Approved Employer programme. The conference was rounded up by an Approved Employer presentation ceremony in which all approved employers received their awards.
A number of multinational companies, key public bodies and public practice in Hong Kong have recently become ACCA Approved Employers – professional development. They include Grant Thornton, Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Ltd, Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Inland Revenue Department of Hong Kong, Johnson & Johnson (Hong Kong) Ltd, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
