New head for ACCA Wales
Ben Cottam has taken up his new appointment as head of ACCA Wales

Ben joins ACCA after working for five years as policy manager for the Federation of Small Business (FSB), heading up the FSB's policy development role in Wales .
Ben Cottam says: ‘This is a very exciting time of growth and development for ACCA both globally and here in Wales . I am very pleased to be able to join such a dynamic and progressive organisation and have the opportunity to work with the membership of ACCA in Wales , ensuring that our services and strategies are well tuned to their needs. I believe passionately that ACCA and its members have a pivotal and positive role to play in the economic and social landscape of Wales and I look forward to the challenges that are to come.'
Welcoming the appointment, Wyn Mears, ACCA UK director said: ‘We are delighted in having attracted a professional of such competence and experience to head our office in Wales . I am convinced that Ben will continue to build our reputation in Wales and develop new relationships and partnerships on behalf of ACCA.'
A graduate of the Cardiff School of Journalism at Cardiff University , Ben is a keen musician and plays in a community orchestra based in the Tywi Valley . He also enjoys playing squash and photography.
