ACCA Caribbean celebrates 10 years
ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of ACCA Caribbean with a gala event to be held on Monday 2 November 2009 in the Port of Spain Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
ACCA Chief Executive, Ms. Helen Brand was one of the key figures in establishing the Caribbean office and will be in Trinidad and Tobago to deliver the feature address at this celebration.
ACCA Caribbean has a team of 11 professionals led by Ms Brenda Lee Tang, Head of Corporate Development. The regional office has seen many successes over the past 10 years including the signing of Practice Monitoring contracts at the last two regional ICAC conferences for the territories of Barbados, Trinidad, Bahamas, Guyana and the OECS, the renewal of JES (Joint Examination Scheme) partnership agreements with five regional Institutes, an increased number of regional employers attaining Approved Employer Status, a number of tuition providers becoming Approved Learning Providers for Student Tuition and the restructuring of the Caribbean office to more effectively meet the needs of ACCA members, students and other stakeholders in the region.
